EILEEN LILLIAN PALMAR (nee SEVERSON) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Eileen Palmar on Sunday, August 31, 2003 at the age of 63. She was predeceased by her mother (Agnes Severson) and father (Olaf Severson) her husband (John) her brother (Allan Severson) her sister (Evelyn Tkatchuk) her brother-in-law (Mike Palamar) and sister-in-law (Ann Kibsey Marchuk). Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gary (Pat DeGroot) and Carol Strong (Bob Burrows) her grandchildren, Ashley, Crystal, Ryan, Dillon, Shawn and Sarah. She will also be dearly missed by her brothers, Merv Severson (Leona) and Harold Severson (Ann) sister May Chernoff (Alex) sister-in-law Mary Hamel (Leo) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Eileen was born on September 26, 1939 in Norquay, SK. She lived there for many years till she moved to Winnipeg in 1953 at the age of 14. For awhile she lived with her sister Evelyn and brother-in-law Nick. She got her first job as a waitress at the Goodearth Restaurant where she worked for many years. Eileen first met her husband to be (John) at the restaurant where he also worked. They were married on July 16, 1957. They had two children, Gary and Carol. Eileens priority was her family. She was always there for her children and especially enjoyed her special dinner gatherings during the holidays, birthdays and times spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to bingo, where she had many friends there. She loved her flowers, tending to them both inside and out. She also loved sitting outside and feeding the birds and squirrels. She was the type of woman who you could always count on. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Pallbearers will be Don Wandowich, Frank Mravec, Ken Pietracci, Rob VanGompel, Hugh Berft and Neil Spevack and honorary pallbearer Dave Hebert. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will follow on Saturday, September 6 at 10:00 a.m., also at Cropo Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
