JOHN YAREMKO Quietly, on Sunday, August 31, 2003, our dear brother and uncle, John Yaremko, passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 88 years. John was born and raised in Transcona. He joined the infantry and was later discharged, due to disabilities suffered during his wartime service. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 7. He is survived by his only sister Olga (Orest) Smelski and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Daniel in 1960; mother Tekla in 1971; sisters, Sophie McGee, Kate Cottrell, Anne Kasianchuk and by his brother Mikey (at the tender age of nine years). A private family service will be held with interment at the Transcona Cemetery. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
