Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) BRIAN WELLS It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bill, on the 29 of August, 2003, at the age of 56 years. Left to mourn his passing are his children, Shanna Williams (Keith) of Whitehorse, YT, Corporal William Wells (Suzy) and son Jonathan of Petawawa, ON. His mother Norah Wells of Winnipeg, MB. A sister Marsha Armishaw of Spruce Groove, AB. A brother Ron Wells (Anolda) of Dryden, ON and their children David Wells (Heather) and Chris Wells both of Winnipeg. Angela Sheppard (Steve), Teena Peterson both of Dryden, and Claudette Woodgate of Montreal, QC. Bill was predeceased by his father William Bryan Wells and brother-in-law Donald Armishaw. Bill attended QEDHS and then went on to further his education at the Manitoba Institute of Technology in Winnipeg, MB as an Architectural Draftsman. He moved to Edmonton, AB to work for Dominion Bronze as a draftsman and later as an estimator. Bill also managed a pet shop, Aquarius, in Edmonton. In 1972, Bill and his wife moved to Sioux Lookout, ON where he was employed by Howard Keefer Surveyors and then Steve Nicholson Surveyors. Bill also worked for A & K Lumber and was the manager of Home Hardware. For the last number of years, Bill has been employed by the school board, as a custodian. Bill has been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion as well as the Lions Club. For many years Bill was the proud co-owner of Lac Seul Tachel. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bill spent many happy hours with family and friends at his cabin of Botsford Lake. Bill has a keen sense of humour and loved to tease and joke (his sister will attest to this). He especially enjoyed kibitzing with the youngsters. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., with Fr. Carl Tarnopollski officiating. (Interment of ashes followed at Elmwood Cemetery on September 5 at 3:00 p.m.) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, or Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
