Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD ZYGARLICKI October 26, 1930 - September 2, 2003 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved husband, dad, ja-ja and brother on Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 72 years. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Eleanor (nee Bula). He also leaves to cherish his memory his son Glenn (Cathy) grandchildren, Travis and Carrie; daughter Diane Hagemier (Chuck) daughter Gail Langlais (Roger) grandchildren, Janelle, Bree and Brittney; sisters, Victoria Tynski, Helen Stoyko (Bill), Violet Mlodzinski, Adeline Hertz (Tony). Also his mother-in-law Julia Bula; sister-in-law Dolores Paterson (Bob) sister-in-law Bev Bula; and numerous nephews, nieces and great-nephews and nieces. Edward was predeceased by his father Walter; father-in-law Joseph Bula; brothers-in-law, Leonard Mlodzinski, Ted Bula and most recently by his mother Stella. He was raised and educated in Highland Glen. He enjoyed a long career with Hydro while he pursued his love of farming. Retiring in 1986 he continued farming until 1995, when he became a market gardener growing corn and cucumbers. His beige truck was well known on highway 44. Ed enjoyed all sports and participated in baseball, hockey and Hydro curling. One of his greatest joys was his grandchildren. Watching his favourite hockey players, Travis and Carrie whose games he enjoyed, Janelle and Brees figure skating competitions, which he looked forward to attending and Brittney who watched over him when he was resting. Recently Ed had the opportunity to spend time with his whole family at a family reunion. Family time was always cherished time. Prayers will be held on Friday, September 5 at 8:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 6 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Garson, MB with Fr. Sebastian Gacki officiating. Service to terminate at the church. Private burial will follow at a later date. Pallbearers will be six of his nephews. All other nieces and nephews consider yourselves Uncle Edwards honorary pallbearers. The family would like to thank the nurses at CancerCare. Also the staff on G.D.6 for their kindness at this sad time. Flowers gratefully declined.
