Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEARL CHRISTOPHER CHRISTOPHERSON February 23, 1922 - September 2, 2003 After a brief illness, Earl passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital. Earl leaves to mourn his passing, special friend Asta; sons, Chris Christopherson (Darlene), Ray Christopherson (Valerie) grandchildren, Scott, Stacey and Michael; brother Daniel (Carol) sister Enid George) along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Earl was predeceased by his parents, Ida and Christopher; his wife Margaret; his second wife Betty; and sisters, Betty, Alice, Ella, Lillie and Minnie. Earl worked for many years for the Winnipeg Hydro Steam Plant as a stationary engineer. During the Second World War he served with the Hamilton Regiment Tank Corps. Upon returning home in 1946 he worked as a cabinetmaker. One of his projects still stands today, "The Winnipeg Roller Rink" on Portage Avenue. In 1951 he and his family moved to Edmonton, but after a brief stay returned to Winnipeg. Dad was a very talented man and had many trades and qualifications in his lifetime. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 730 McPhillips. Reception is to follow the memorial service at St. Barnabas. The Rev. Julie Collings will officiate. Funeral arrangements by Neil Bardal. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, Unit 5, 5th floor, for all their care and compassion during the last three months.
