ANDREW GULAY Accidentally on September 3, 2003, near his home in Sylvan, Andrew Gulay, aged 83, passed away. Andrew is survived by his wife Irene; sons, Marvin (Evelyn), Ronald (Glenda) and Ivan (Brenda) grandchildren, Kevin, Stephanie, Jason, Ashley, Amber, Brett, Cara and Derric. He also leaves to mourn his passing, his brothers, Walter, Mike, Arni; sister Olga Chyzzy; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Mary Gulay; brothers, Joe, Alec; and sister Joan. Dad was born February 22, 1920 in Sylvan, MB. He grew up on the family farm. He and Irene were married in 1952. After living in Winnipeg for a few years they returned to Sylvan to farm near his familys original homestead where they raised their three sons. Dad was dedicated to his mixed farming operation. He enjoyed going to various fairs and travelling to many different places. Through his travels Dad made many acquaintances. He enjoyed life to its fullest. In Dads later years he became an avid gardener and took great pleasure in produce which he grew very successfully. Dads greatest pride was his family, he always enjoyed the many visits. His love for his wife and family will always be remembered. He will be sadly missed. The family wishes to thank the R.C.M.P., ambulance attendants and a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Percy E. Moore Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Parish. Interment will take place in Sylvan Community Cemetery, in Sylvan, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andrews memory to a charity of ones choice. My life on earth is truly past, Ive loved you all to the very last.
