KENNETH FRANK HAWLEY Ken passed away peacefully on September 4, 2003 at the St. Boniface Hospital - Palliative Care Ward. Ken enjoyed life, and will be remembered fondly for the friendship, love and smiles he shared with those around him. Ken was born in March 1933 and spent much of his life living and working on the family farm in Roland, MB. He married his life partner, Marlene, in 1961 and they spent 42 wonderful years together. He and Marlene also lived in Carman, and most recently in Winnipeg. Ken is survived by Marlene; two sons, Calvin (Tara) and Steve (Carole) and six grandchildren, Derek, Alex, Neilla, Tyler, Greg and Alexa. He is also survived by one brother Ivan and two sisters, Irene and Joan and their families. Special thanks go to Dr. Garnet Crawford and Mark Shepherd for their support and caring during the past months, and to the staff at the Palliative Care Ward at St. Boniface Hospital who were so good to Ken during his stay there. Respecting Kens wishes, an immediate cremation was conducted, and there will be no further memorial service. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so wish, memorial donations in Kens memory can be made to charity of your choice.
