Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory(MARY) LILLIAN NOSWORTHY (nee SQUIRES) Passed away peacefully August 25, 2003. Born January 6, 1919 in Killarney, MB, Lil moved to Winnipeg in the late 1930s and worked for the Canadian Wheat Board. She married George Nosworthy January 27, 1943, while he was serving in the Canadian Navy. They were happily married for 56 years. Lil and George retired to White Rock, BC, in 1988 where they resided until Georges passing in January, 1999. Lil then moved to Berwick on the Lake in Nanaimo to be closer to her children. She is survived by her children, Reg Nosworthy, Susan (Chris) Lee, and Brian (Diane) Nosworthy; four grandchildren, Marci (Cory) Robertson, Sandra Lee, Barbara (Nathan) Plett, Blaine Nosworthy; and four great-grandchildren, Joshua and Alex Robertson and Alana and Owen Plett. A memorial tea was held at Berwick on the Lake on Thursday, August 28. Cremation has taken place. Committal service and interment will take place on September 10 at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14644 - 72nd Avenue, Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lils name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
