Baba married George when she was 16 years old. She lived her entire life in the Gardenton area, raising a family, running a grocery store, tending a massive garden, and helping at the church, community hall and museum - always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. She was a master in the kitchen - no gathering could ever be too large and no menu could have too many courses. She was a kind and generous person and worked tirelessly throughout her life. Baba was very proud of her Ukrainian heritage. During her lifetime, she was a member of St. Michaels Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the Ukrainian Womens Organization and the Ukrainian Hall - all in Gardenton. The family expresses special thanks and gratitude to the doctors and staff at the Vita Health Centre and to the many friends and family members who took the time to visit with her over the years.
