Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS ROBERT BELL It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Tom on Saturday, September 6, 2003. He is survived by his wife Jane; son Wes (Pam) stepgrandchildren, Kari and John of Minneapolis; daughter Tania Taylor (Rob) and most precious grandson Jack of Abbotsford. He was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Agnes Bell; sister Barb Harrison; sister-in-law Sandy Bell; and Auntie Ethel Cox. Also left to mourn are Toms sisters, Lorraine (Dave) MacVicar, Eileen Taylor; brothers, John Bell, Ron (Gloria) Bell; Janes family, Irene (Don) Hutton, Doris Schwietz, Walter (Chris) Boyko; mother-in-law Lena Kornik; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Tom recently retired from the City of Winnipeg after 25 years of service, where many special friendships were formed. Tom, being an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting, fishing and in the later years his backyard with the many bird feeders and flower gardens. He served in the Naval Reserves from 1956 to 1972. Throughout his life, Tom spent many hours reading and watching television about military and naval history, thus making him unbeatable in the game of Trivial Pursuit. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 10 at 5:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. Peter Cain will officiate. Flowers gratefully declined. Toms wish is that if you are able please plant a Coral Bell next spring for the hummingbirds to light upon. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice or to Ducks Unlimited.
