PETER WILSON Peter passed away peacefully in his sleep with his family at his bedside on Sunday evening, September 7, 2003 at the age of 96. Peter was predeceased by Thelma, his wife of 71 years who passed away only two months ago; and sons, Allan and Walter. His beautiful memory will be cherished by his son Gerry Wilson (Helene) grandchildren, Gerry (Marina), great-grandchildren, Kristine, Katie, Carlee, Matthew; grandson Geoffrey (Maria), great-grandchildren, Kosta, Eleni, Michael, Alexandra; grandson Carey (Joan), great-grandchildren, Kendall, Colin; grandson Gregory (Laureen) also daughter-in-law Barbara Wilson, grandchildren, Dana and Tyson. Peter was born in Apple Hill, ON on May 7, 1907. Peter was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He worked with the CN Railway as an agent, operator and dispatcher for 41 years, locating in Delmis, SK, Edson, AB, Edmonton, AB and Winnipeg. In 1948 on his move to Winnipeg, Peter was now staying with his family on a permanent basis for the first time. Peter retired in 1966 ,at retirement he worked four years at Holy Cross Credit Union as a loans officer, spending the last 35 years enjoying his friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Peter also enjoyed curling, gardening, reading, watching sports, taking walks and attending hockey games. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 10, at 1:00 p.m. in the Holy Cross Parish , 252 Dubuc St. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. P. COUTU & CO.
