Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON HOWARD ELLIS It is with the greatest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon Howard Ellis on September 8, 2003, at his home in Neepawa, MB. Gordon was born on November 13, 1926, in Scotch Bay, on the shores of Lake Manitoba. Gordon was predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Allison, in January 2000; his parents, Nina Pearl (Lamb) and John Martin Ellis; brothers, Edwin and Norman; sister Helen Potter and brother-in-law Weldon; sister Genevieve Lawrence and brother-in-law Johnny; sister Kathleen Hanson and brother-in-law Glen; sister-in-law Rose Martin; nephew Doug Ellis; and niece Marian Lawrence Essele. Left to cherish his memory are his special friend Brenda Ellis; his four children, Mac, Betty (Brad Kelso), Sandra (Mike Teillet), and John (Pala Gillis) grandchildren, Larisa (Corey), Pamela, Martin, Curtis, Cameron, Matthew, Ryann, Rebecca and Daphne; great-grandchildren, Noah and Katya; his brother Warren; and sister Nina Forsythe (George) and many relatives and friends from across Canada and the United States. Gordon farmed for many years near Cordova, eventually retiring in Neepawa, where he enjoyed golf, bridge, camping and winters in Texas. A celebration of Gordons life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 12, in Neepawa United Church, Neepawa, with the Rev. George Cargo officiating. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations can be sent to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation. Whites Funeral Home, Neepawa, in care of arrangements.
