Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMONIQUE LOUISE LUCIENNE ROULSTON Passed away peacefully on September 9, 2003 at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital, Mrs. Monique Louise Lucienne Roulston, in her 83rd year, beloved wife of the late Dr. Thomas Mervyn Roulston. Monique will be sadly missed by her children and grandchildren, Denise (Daniel) Deben and their son Dorian of Toronto, Claire (Kas) Mazurek and their sons, Ken, Jeff, Neil and Brian of Lethbridge and Tom (Darcy) Roulston and their children, Sean, Will, Blake, Anna and Erin of Wichita, Kansas. Monique was born September 16, 1920 in Paris, France, the second daughter of Crawford and Georgette Dunlop. She received her medical degree from Queens University, Belfast in 1946. It was here she met Mervyn who was the love of her life for 47 years. In 1949, she earned a diploma in public health and practiced in Belfast before the family immigrated to Canada in 1954. She resumed her medical career as a public health doctor in the Winnipeg school system in 1964 and later joined the practice at Aikins Clinic before retiring in 1972. Monique gave generously of her time to numerous community organizations. An enormously talented person, Monique was an imaginative artist, a talented athlete, a gourmet cook and a creative seamstress. She had a passion for classical music and a deep appreciation of nature enjoyed annually at Victoria Beach. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 13 at THOMPSON FUNERAL CHAPELS, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
