EDGAR J. GRACIE Edgar J. Gracie born in Scapter, SK in 1921, passed away peacefully September 10, 2003 at the Victoria Hospital. He leaves to cherish his memory, Katherine, his wife of 36 years; sons, Kenneth (Phil), Allan (Kathy) daughter-in-law Brenda; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jonas, Aaron and Kieran. His first wife Betty, daughter Pauline, son Laurence and granddaughter Catherine predeceased him. Edgar joined the Air Force as flight engineer in 1939. After the war he joined the Fire Department and retired from the Fire Department in 1985. We thank the nurses and staff on the 3rd floor at Victoria Hospital for the tender loving care they gave Edgar. Also thank you to Cathy Lucia and Joan Collins for their support with home care. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family, many nieces, nephews, friends, and we rejoice in meeting him again. His faith has become sight. We the family invite you to join us in a celebration of Edgars life on Saturday, September 13 at 4:00 p.m. at Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB with viewing one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eds memory to the Alzheimer Society, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, the Fire Department Burn Fund, 303 Garry St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4J9 or to a charity of ones choice.
