JERRY ALAN SANDERSON Peacefully with family at his side, Jerry passed away at Concordia Hospital on Wednesday, September 10, 2003. Born December 13, 1938, he was the youngest of four siblings. Jerry was a friend to all who met him. He had a quick wit and could always be counted on for a good laugh. He enjoyed keeping up with current events and never found a sport that he did not like. With unfailing optimism, Jerry embraced life and cherished his loved ones and friends. Jerry was predeceased by his father Alan Sanderson; mother Bertha Mahler and brothers, Donald and Buddy Sanderson. He is survived by his soul mate of 23 years, Elizabeth Hartwell; his daughter Alanna McIver of Toronto, ON; sister Yvonne Hardy of Alliston, ON; half sister Gail Mahler and half brother Larry Mahler, both of Winnipeg, MB. A service of remembrance and celebration of Jerrys life will be held Saturday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will follow at a later date. The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to the staff of Concordia Hospital; in particular, nurses Kathy and Sandra and Dr. Sutherland. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of ones choice is greatly appreciated.
