ELIZABETH WOOD Peacefully with her family at her side Elizabeth Wood, aged 67 years, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2003, at the Victoria Hospital. Elizabeth was born on September 25, 1935, in the Island Lake area and had resided there her entire life. She enjoyed her bead work, and also loved being with her family and grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory three sons, Sidney (Violet), Stephen, (Violet), and Randy (Faith) six daughters, Mary (Wallace), Jane (Clifford), Vera, Christine (Joseph G.), Helen (Walter) and Vickki (Paul) brother-in-law Solomon Wood and son-in-law Bruce Flett. There are 39 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. There are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Jeremiah; mother Nancy; father Joseph and step-father Matthew Wood; daughter Caroline Flett and sister Victoria Mason. Prayers were said Thursday, September 11, 2003 at 9:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave. and Parr, Winnipeg. Wake services will be held on Friday, September 12 and Saturday, September 13 in Wasagamack, MB. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. at the Wasagamack Roman Catholic Church, Wasagamack, MB, with Fr. Robert Laroche officiating. Interment to follow at the Wasagamack Cemetery. Love is patient; Love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrong doing, but rejoices in the truth, it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.   • i miss you so much when i very young she would always tell me that when you were a little baby you were so small about size 11 boots she would say . she told me she took care of me and she did since when i was born to when i was 18 she was a very hard working mother i never saw her cry once couse she was very strong she will make you laugh and smile when ur down she'll do the crazyest things i remeber this one thing when i was a baby crying in the room she would come and pick me up and rock me to sleep i remember she sang to me too i always fell right asleep oh i wish that she can rock and sing me to sleep just this once again her singing will alays be in my heart. i sing the same song to my kids and baby. when it was summer we would sit out side enjoying the cool breeze and sunny sky she would go berry picking to save for cristmas feast lots of berrys to make jam i so miss her cooking so much and her baboo lol. she treated me like her baby i call my 3 uncles and 6 anties brothers and sisters and they think of me as there baby brother and thers my birth mother i love you too with my whole heart. elizabeth wood was the greatest person. and when i was sick in bed she would make home remedies from mother earth i love you kookim mom i will never forget you thank you for taking good care of me i always think shes still in her home ill alway love you and ill ways keep ur stories and the things you done for me see you again someday :) - Posted by: clint wood (grandson son ) on: Aug 03, 2012
