ARTHUR BARTLETT It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband and wonderful father, Arthur (Art) Thomas Bartlett on September 10, 2003. Art was born September 24, 1933, living all his life in Winnipeg. He is survived by his wife Verna; sons and their wives, Grant (Shawna) of Winnipeg, Kyle (Kristy) of San Diego, CA; his brother Ron; his father-in-law Aime Allard; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Yolande and Alf Weber, Larry and Pat Allard, Maurice and Carole Allard, Sharron and Allan Martin and Glenn and Joanne Allard; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Emily, father William and mother-in-law Adrienne Allard. Art retired from the Liquor Control Commission in 1991 after a 40 year career. He loved fishing, his favourite fishing trips were at Pinawa with Grant, Fred and Rudy and he also enjoyed reading "Who Done It" mysteries. In accordance with Arts wishes, cremation has taken place. A mass in celebration of his life will be held on Monday, September 15 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Emiles Roman Catholic Church, 556 St. Annes Rd. with Fr. Rene Peeters presiding. Interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arts favourite charity, The St. Boniface Research Foundation for Heart Disease, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
