MARY ALEXANDER ENDELMAN (COCKBURN) Mary Alexander, known to all as Mae, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2003 at the age of 97. Survived by her loving husband of 71 years John; son Mel (Pat) grandsons, Brad, Michael (Lauren) and special niece Doreen Cornish of Inglis, MB. She was born in Glasgow, March 13, 1906. The Cockburn family immigrated to Canada, settling in Winnipeg. Mae returned to the work force during the Second World War at Christie Brown Company and took great pride in her work, especially her "sight balances". She and John retired to BC in the 60s, residing first in Duncan before moving to the lower mainland and Burnaby. She was a member of West Burnaby United Church. She and John have spent their last few years at the New Vista Care Home. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. D. Wong and everyone at the home for their loving care and compassion. Memorial service to be held on October 2 at 2:00 p.m. in West Burnaby United Church, 6050 Sussex Ave. (at Grange), Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maes name to New Vista Society Foundation, 7550 Rosewood St., Burnaby, BC, V5E 3Z3.
