ERNEST ROBERT GORRELL Born in Winnipeg on June 14, 1914. Passed away suddenly at the family cottage on September 11, 2003. He was predeceased by his parents George and Maggie; brothers, Austin and Lionel; sister Gladys (Vern Clark), Phyllis, Mabel (Carl Pope), Isabel (Amey) and granddaughter Nicole Presunka. He leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 54 years Margaret (nee McDonald) son Robert Gorrell and partner Dallas; daughter Lori Presunka and her husband Reid; grandson Jordy; sister Lillian; brother-in-law Ray Amey and many nieces and nephews. Ernest was a proud member of the Winnipeg Musicians Society local 190, the A.N.A.F. No. 283, Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 4 and was a loyal supporter of the Winnipeg Football Club for over 50 years. Ernest was a veteran of the R.C.A.F and a longtime employee of Canada Post. He will be sadly missed for his sense of humour and joy of life. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16 at 1:00 p.m. in Thompson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with the Rev. W. Gordon Shields officiating. Interment to follow at the Wakefield Cemetery.
