KATHARINA MOECKEL (nee SCHIFFER) Wife, mother and oma, born January 3, 1930 in Cologne (Koeln) Germany, peacefully passed away on September 12, 2003 after a courageous battle against cancer at Steinbach Bethesda Hospital. "Sie Hat Es Ueberstanden". She leaves to mourn her loving husband Walter; son Paul (Janice) and grandson David. The family would like to thank the nursing staff, volunteers and Chaplain Larry Hirst for their excellent care and support given to Katharina. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Bethesda Place Chapel, 399 Hospital St., Steinbach, Saturday, September 20, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Chaplain Larry Hirst officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumns rain. When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush, Of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.
