LUCIEN CLOUTIER The Cloutier family is saddened to announce the passing of Lucien Cloutier, son of Georges and Irene Cloutier (nee Massicotte). Lucien came from a large and loving family of one sister Mariette and husband Arnold Ternowski; six brothers, Gilbert and wife Lorraine (nee Landry), Claude and wife Valentina (nee Kouratchenkova), Real and wife Karen Palmer, Leo and wife Carmen (nee Lavack), Robert and George and friend Heather. Lucien was born on June 29, 1954. Although born with Downs Syndrome, in his own unique way, he brought much happiness to all who shared in his life. He taught us to appreciate life for what it is, a gift. Lucien enjoyed music and especially enjoyed walking with the wind blowing in his ears. On a windy day, he would escape into the grain fields, and we would be challenged to find him. He inherited his dads love for cars in his youth and as he aged, he never passed up an opportunity to ride in a car. Lucien spent his first seven years on the farm surrounded by his immediate family, three years at St. Amant Centre and 39 years at the Manitoba Developmental Centre. No matter where he stayed, he was able to receive and give affection to those around him. He was a loving person. The Cloutier family truly believes that Lucien was received in Jesus loving arms. Adieu Lucien, we will miss you. Many thanks to all those who accompanied Lucien on his journey Home. Our gratitude goes to the personnel at St. Amant Centre, the Manitoba Development Centre and Portage la Prairie Hospital Staff. All of you have been angels at his side. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Development Centre, P.O. Box 1190, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3C6. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated by Father Carl Tarnopolski at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge in Richmond West, at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, September 18. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Lucien, on taime!
