ETHEL IDA MUTTNER It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Ethel Ida Muttner on Monday, September 15, 2003 at 68 years of age. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Jack, her husband of 49 years; daughter Shelley Goldberg (Jerry) and son Sheldon; grandsons, Darren Goldberg and Joshua Muttner; brother Harold Rosen (Ruth) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Sonia Rosen and sister Patricia Fairfield. Tykie, as she was known by everyone, was born in Saskatoon and moved to Winnipeg at the age of 19, where she met and quickly married the love of her life, Jack. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was actively involved in the family business, Chandlers Shoes, and devoted much of her time to volunteer work. She was a life member of Pioneer Women and worked extensively for Winnipeg Womens ORT. Her generosity and commitment to family and community were appreciated by everyone who knew her. The special loves in her life were her grandsons, and she catered to them with outings, gifts, sleepovers and pancake breakfasts. The family would like to thank the Grace Hospital Emergency staff for their great efforts on Ethels behalf. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17 at Congregation Etz Chayim, 123 Matheson Ave. with interment to follow at the Rosh Pina Memorial Park. If desired, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave., Rm.
