Dear Mr. Toole, I am saddened to hear of your passing all those years ago. What started out to be a day to find another old friend (Horst Kaiser) and wish him a happy birthday today (March 02, 2021) has turned out to be a day that I am saddened to see many of the people I knew no longer on earth. Allan, your son, and I hung out together in high school along with two other fellows. On one occasion we biked to your cottage on Lake Winnipeg (70+ miles) leaving Winnipeg at 3 am. We got to your cottage to visit Allan about 9:30 in the morning and could barely stand up. By Sunday night we realized that our butts were too sore to ride back so you gave us a ride back to Winnipeg on Monday morning dropping us off at Exel Elevators on Pacific Ave. I`m sure we made you laugh and sometimes cry at our stupidity in life. Thank you for being there on our clumsy journey through life. And thank you Wanda for giving us some great advice which I wish we had listened to more closely in hindsight. - Posted by: Dennis Merber (Friend) on: Mar 02, 2021
