MARY SOKOL Mary Sokol passed away on Monday, September 15, 2003 at the age of 92. Survived by her loving family, daughter Jennie Sokol of Westbank; son Gordon Sokol (Bernice) of Winnipeg; two grandchildren, Ronald Sokol and Sandra Sokol; four great-grandchildren, Darren, Justin, Dillon and Amber; cousins, Anne Fischer, Eva, and Bill Kuschak. Predeceased by her son John in 2001 and her husband Frederick in 1976. Mary was a wonderful woman who treated everyone equal and was loved by all. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Rd., Kelowna, BC with Fr. Dr. John Plewa officiating. Interment to follow in the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation, 201 - 1456 St. Paul St., Kelowna, BC V1Y 2E6.
