MIKE WOWK Peacefully, on September 16, 2003 at the Whitemouth District Health Centre, Mike Wowk, our beloved brother, passed away at the age of 92 years. Mike leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his brother Fred Wowk of Ontario; sisters, Anne Rotondo of Transcona and Mary Kukawsky of Ontario, as well as his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, John and Pete and his sister Pauline. Mike had done most of his farming in Elma, MB. Upon his retirement, he moved and made his home in Whitemouth. One of his favourite pastimes was playing the violin. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Whitemouth Health Centre for their compassionate care; also a special thanks to Mat Rockenstein and wife Anna. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19 at 1:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Chaplain Paul Martin officiating. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
