OLIVE JENKINSON With her children by her side, Olive Jenkinson went to join her husband Cecil. Born in Walkleyburg, MB, she was raised in East Selkirk with her five sisters, Anne, Norma, Kay, Nellie and Pauline. She married Cecil Jenkinson and settled in Selkirk in the late 1930s. Together they raised four children and started and operated a successful family business for 35 years, Jenkinsons Tom Boy. Olives energy and love of life amazed all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by her children, John (Eleanor) of Treherne, Cecil (Maline) of Calgary, Dale (Colleen) of Selkirk and Sharon (Tom) Morton of White Rock. "Granny Cool" is fondly remembered by all her grandchildren, Jim (Doreen), Suann (Robert), Robert, Jeff (Jackie) of Treherne, Jody (Ken), Garrett and Jonathan of Calgary, Jessica and Jordan of Selkirk and Sydney of White Rock and great-grandchildren Danica and Devon of Yorkton, Ashley and Tanner of Treherne and Gracie of Calgary. Olive had many good friends and enjoyed a broad social circle. Her generosity with her time and many talents enriched our lives. Thanks Mom. A celebration of Olives life will be held on Saturday, September 27 at 11:00 a.m. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 6088 PTH 9A, just south of Selkirk, with Pastor Dave Saude officiating. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
