FRANCIS MAY FARGEY (nee STONES) It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of our Mother and Grandmother on September 16, 2003. May was predeceased by her mother Jessie Stones (Henderson) and her brother Carman Rutledge. Left to cherish Moms (Nanas) memory are Gerrie and Glenn; Ken and Liliane and their children, Frank and Lisa, all of Winnipeg; Barry of Dawson City, YU; Diane and Mike and their children, Julie, Jocelyn and Karen of Oshawa, ON; as well as several nieces and nephews and Jim Fargey of Carman, MB. May was born in Neepawa and grew up in Winnipeg. She enjoyed Scottish Highland Dancing as a youngster, travelling to competitions as far away as Seattle. Until marriage May loved her job at Eatons and starring in roller skating musical productions. All four children enjoyed being raised in Norwood. Always a traveler, in later years May enjoyed her frequent trips to Nanaimo, Kelowna, Bermuda, Hawaii, Oshawa and Dawson City, as well as travels in her little red car "Scarlett". She especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren, shopping and lunch with Gerrie and her favourite soap, the Y & R. A private funeral service was held Friday, September 19, followed by interment at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Our gratitude goes to the caring staff of the Lions Manor, 2nd Floor - 333 Maryland, Misericordia Hospital and Riverview Health Centre (Ward 1A). In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. A loving mother, Tender and kind, What a beautiful memory You left behind.
