Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySYLVIA CHRISTINE GINTER It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Sylvia Christine Ginter on Thursday, September 18, 2003 at the age of 70. Sylvia will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her husband John; daughters, Karen (Brian) and Cheryl (Glenn) and her sister Margaret (Jim). Sylvia also leaves to mourn her beloved grandchildren, Christa, Grady, Ryan; and hospital buddy Harry; as well as many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was predeceased by her mother Ingrid; father Niels; sister Doris; brother Christian; and an infant sister. Sylvia was born in Winnipeg, MB on May 2, 1933 to Ingrid and Niels Jensen. When she was eight her mother passed, and she and her sisters were raised by Aunt Dinna and Uncle Carl. She married John in 1952, worked and raised two daughters. She loved to watch sports, and her flower garden. Her favorite pastime was keeping the politicians honest. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held on Monday, September 22 at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Hospital Chapel with reception at Chapel Lawn Reception Centre, 4000 Portage Ave. Should friends desire, donations in Sylvias memory may be made to the Grace Palliative Care, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7 or CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caring, compassionate staff on 4W at the Grace Palliative Care Unit, especially Cora, Donna, Amanda and Chaplain Cath.
