LOIS ALBERTA ADAMS (STILWELL) July 5, 1933 - September 20, 2003 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden yet peaceful passing of Lois Alberta Adams on Saturday, September 20, 2003. Lois will be sadly missed by her husband Douglas; her sons, Michael (Elaine) Adams, Derek (Louanne) Adams; daughter Dawna (Glenn) Wickdahl and her very special "pumpkin" granddaughter Laurisa. Lois and Doug would have celebrated their 50th Anniversary on the tenth of next month. Lois also leaves to mourn many family and friends in her hometown of Saint John, NB. Also missing her contagious smile are many friends in Winnipeg who enjoyed her caring and generous nature. Lois retired from Wawanesa Insurance in 1998 and then took up the challenge of learning her new computer to keep in touch with her family and friends across the country. She was an active member of Christ Church in River Heights and an avid volunteer to all of their bake sales, plant stands, seniors dinners and garage sales. For people in the River Heights area, Lois could always be seen peddling her 3-wheeled bike checking out all of the local garage sales. It was her great passion to find a "deal". A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 25 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
