Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAY CARLSON It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our husband, father and grandfather Ray Carlson on Saturday September 20, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre. Ray was predeceased by his parents, Jennie and Oscar, sister Vivian and brother Dennis. He will be forever missed by his wife Ollie; children, Larry and Lynda Ruban (Wally) grandchildren Jason Carlson (Doreen) of Moose Jaw, SK, Jesse Carlson (fiancee Heather), Lindsay Ruban, Nathan Ruban; his sister Doris Hammerstrom (Lloyd) of Preeceville, SK and brother Glen Carlson (Phyllis) of Newfoundland. Ray was born on the homestead in Ketchen, SK on April 27, 1928 to Jennie and Oscar Carlson and was the third of five children. He came to Winnipeg at the age of 17 and worked at Dominion Tanners for 47 years. He enjoyed his work and the many people he worked with. Ray and Ollie recently celebrated their 51st anniversary. Ray felt a deep commitment to family and took every opportunity to share time with family and friends. He loved his summers at the cottage, his garden and particularly looked forward to his annual fall hunting trip. A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday September 26 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
