HELEN MALISKI Helen Maliski passed away on September 21, 2003. She leaves to mourn her husband Steven; devoted nieces and nephews and their partners, spouses and families, Lorraine and Robert Zimmerman, Philip Heiland and Gwen Setterfield, Leonard and Pearl Yauk, Mark and Martha Koss, Susan and Paul Monteleone Tom and Rose Marie Yauk. Helen was predeceased by her daughter Cathy; and her sisters, Olga, Lottie, Sophie; and brother Robert. Helen will be remembered for her warmth and spirit of hospitality. The family gatherings filled with love and laughter are precious in our minds. We thank her for the joy she brought to all who knew her. We thank her especially for her own unique sense of humour that so pleasantly infected us. In Helens passing we reflect upon the old house on Stella Avenue and the North End with its neighbourliness and the warm KUB bread from down the street. We shared a world of happiness through Helen and Steves home. We shared in the pain of the loss of their daughter Cathy, for no pain can be greater than the loss of a child. The same feelings were rekindled in East Kildonan where the strength of family was ever present. Helen showed us the true meaning of devotion to family and friends. On behalf of the family, thanks to the caring staff of the Luther Home of Winnipeg where Helen resided over the past two years, and to the support provided by Emergency personnel at the Health Sciences Centre. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Down the path the unknown lies Where destiny finds the soul And raises high the gleaming white Of infinite tomorrows. Not faith, not chance nor circumstance Can alter what is fate For He decides for all of us, When to swing the gate. By Noah Yauk Helen, we love and miss you. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
