JOHN PAUL SOKOL Sadly, on September 21, 2003, at the young age of 22, our dearest son, brother, grandson, nephew and brother-in-law left us to be with his Heavenly Father. He will be dearly missed by his mom and dad, Danuta and Jan; three sisters, Violetta (Larry), Jennifer, and Bonnie; grandparents, aunts and uncles in Winnipeg and in Poland and many friends. As a youngster, John attended HC Avery, Belmont, Jefferson Jr. High and eventually graduated from Garden City Collegiate. He then attended Red River College, where he completed his Cisco Training with an Honours standing. John was currently studying towards a computer science degree at the U. of M. while still working at Seven Oaks Hospital. Growing up John enjoyed playing soccer, working on his model cars and eventually owning his own car. He was proud of his culture and enjoyed dancing with the Polish Dance Ensemble Iskry culminating with the dance groups first place standing at the 2002 Dance Festival in Poland. He also attended Polish language classes and belonged to Holy Ghost Parish. John was an easy going person who would do anything for anyone. He had a soft heart and always made everyone smile. He stood tall, proud and took care of his parents, sisters and friends. John would want us to remember him as how he was and who he wasa gentle soul. The void left in our hearts from Johns passing will never be filled. John, we will miss you forever, but we know and pray that you are in a better place and have found your peace. Until we meet again sweet son, brother and grandson. We love you always and forever. Jasiu pozostaniesz z nami na zawsze Wieczny Odpoczynek Racz Ci Dac Panie A swiatlosc wiekuista niech ci swieci na wieki. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, September 24 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 25 at 10:30 am at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with Fr. Antoni Dugutis officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Johns memory to Holy Ghost Church. We did not know that morning What sorrow the day would bring, The bitter grief, the shock severe To part with one we loved so dear. You bid no one a last farewell, No chance to say goodbye, You were gone Johnny before we knew it, And God only knows why. We pray that when you left us, That you knew how much we cared, Today, tomorrow, our whole lives through, We will always love and cherish memories of you. We hold you close within our hearts, And there you will remain, To walk with us throughout our lives Until we meet again. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
