Georgina was born in London, England, where in her early years she worked as a seamstress. Later along with Jim opened their Green Grocers business. In 1953, Georgina and her family immigrated to Winnipeg spending over 35 years in Transcona. She devoted many years to raising over 70 foster children, many with special needs. Later, she enjoyed many years working for the Transcona News and later the Fairmont formerly The Westin as one of "the girls" in banquets. Then well into her 70s, as a crossing guard for the Transcona School Division. This was a lady who had a love for life. The family would like to give their deepest thanks to the loving staff at Riverview, Tuxedo Villa and in particular the staff on Station 1 at Park Manor Personal Care Home for providing Mum with comfort and care during her final hours.
