MARY (MARIA) JENDRAS Peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2003, Mary Jendras passed away at Fred Douglas Lodge at the age of 83. Mary will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her husband Julian of 58 years of marriage; daughter Kris; granddaughter Angela (Eric) great-granddaughter Megan and numerous other family members and friends. Mary was born on November 5, 1919 in Poland. During the Second World War, she met her husband in Germany where she married and her daughter was born. In 1949, she immigrated to Canada with her daughter to join her husband who had immigrated a few months prior. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a generous, loving and kind-hearted person. Due to complications associated with diabetes she suffered many setbacks but never complained. Our family wishes to thank all the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge who opened their hearts and came to love her. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27 at 10:00 a.m. with viewing starting at 9:30 a.m. at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Ave. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marys memory may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, Manitoba Division, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
