MARIE ANTOINETTE LECK (nee GAGNON) (TONI) Passed away peacefully at the Cowichan District Hospital on Tuesday, September 23, 2003. Born in St. Boniface, MB on January 19, 1921. Predeceased by her husband Allen (1991) her daughter-in-law Rita (1992) and son-in-law Pete (2002). Lovingly remembered by her family; children, Brian, Maureen (Dan), Donne (Denise), Colleen (Ken), Kevin (Carol), Shelley (Dave) 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and her lifelong friend Pat Butler. The family wishes to give a special thank-you to Tonis granddaughter Dawn Saunders for her loving care during the past year and a half. Toni was a volunteer for the OAP Center as well as the Cancer Society. Toni also was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 53 Ladies Auxiliary for over thirty years serving on the executive. Also 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Treasurer and served on many committees, such as membership, catering, ways and means and bingo. Also for a short period on hospital visiting, poppys November 11th and convened Bazaars and Teas. A Mass for Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church, 2085 Maple Bay Road, Duncan, BC on Monday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m. Followed by cremation. Father Frank Franz Celebrant. If so desired memorial remembrances may be made to the Charity of ones choice. SANDS OF DUNCAN 250-746-5212
