MOLLY LESZCZ (LUFFMAN) Our dear Molly passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2003, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Molly was born in Winnipeg, 66 years ago and lived her entire life here. She was raised in Winnipegs diverse and colourful North End in a home filled with warmth, kindness and commitment to traditional Jewish values. This upbringing shaped Molly into the wonderful person she became and inspired her to carry on the traditions instilled into her by her parents Eliyahu and Sarah Luffman. Soon after graduating from St. Johns High School, she married her best friend, Hy Leszcz. Together they built a loving marriage, partnership and home filled with kindness, compassion and laughter. Mollys easy smile, gentle heart and helping hands made her a friend to all. People from every stage of her life remained loyal and committed to her and she to them. Not only social friends, but many friendships from her days of working in the accounting offices of Eatons and The Bay and as office manager of Naamat. Molly was laid to rest at the Hebrew Sick Cemetery next to her beloved son Harry who predeceased her in March 2000. Services were led by dear family friend, Cantor Gerry Daien. Pallbearers were her family, Rob Waldman, Jacob Blumes, Moshe, Amitai and Jason Azuelos and David Gisser. Honorary pallbearers were all those in attendance, especially the friends and family members who came from all over Canada and the United States to help us say goodbye. Molly is survived by her husband of 48 years, Hy; her children, Carol and Robbie Waldman and the stars of her life, her grandchildren, Sari and Benjamin Waldman; her brother, Ben and Pauline Luffman and her sister, Freda and Earle Blumes; her father-in-law Saul Leszcz; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Eva and Moshe Azuelos, Molyn and Bonny Leszcz and their families. She is also survived and forever remembered by a large circle of lifelong friends and their families, whose support, kindness and compassion throughout her life and especially this past year was unparalleled and so appreciated by Molly - never to be forgotten by Hy and Carol. Thankyou to all the health care professionals at CancerCare Manitoba, Health Sciences Centre (GH4) and her at home nurse, Lori Chartrand for their valiant efforts for keeping Molly as comfortable as possible and at home with all of us until her final days. Donations in Mollys memory may be made to Camp Massad, The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or to a charity of your choice. Mollys legacy of good deeds and acts of kindness will shape our lives forever.
