Catherine Isabel Galloway Loscerbo, was born in Winnipeg in 1923 to James (Jimmy) Reid and Jean Galloway Hart, of Ameranth, near Gladstone, MB. She was educated in Glasgow, Scotland, then served in the R.C.A.F. (WAF) in London from 1942 to 1945. She married in Winnipeg and lived there until retiring to Vancouver Island. She bravely and courageously faced all adversity saying "you cant step on a Scottish thistle". She loved to garden, oil paint, and she had a great sense of humour, wit and always tried to knock "a bit of fun out of life". Her love of sports was shared by her three children at the Wildewood Club and the Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club. Cathy was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother and friend. A real class act, who was always there for her children and grandchildren with sound adivice and unconditional love. She taught us right fromn wrong and fairness. She considered her children "gifts from heaven", her thjree wee angels". She was the angel. She will be sadly missed by those who knew her. She is survived by her spouse, Pasquale Loscerbo; children, son Chris (Laura) daughters, Jane (Ted) Janzen and Cathy (Cameron, deceased) grandchildren, Jani James, Christine, Daniella and Hunter. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. with wake to follow at Canad Inns Fort Garry, 1824 Pembina Hwy.
