Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBETTY OLSON February 16, 1948 - September 25, 2003 It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Betty Olson on Thursday, September 25, 2003. Betty will be sadly missed by her husband Ross, of 33 years of marriage; her daughters, Lily, Jennifer and Kim McKenzie (Richard) three grandsons, Kyle, Tristan and Liam; her mother Alice Pentney; sisters, Edna Vandersteen (Doug), Lily Anderson (Glenn) brother Henry Pentney (Joan) as well as numerous friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her father, Gordon Pentney. She was born on February 16, 1948 in Rainy River, ON, but resided most of her life in Winnipeg, MB. Her greatest joy was cooking wonderful meals for her family and numerous friends (unfortunately many of her wonderful recipes have gone with her). Betty suffered many setbacks due to her ill health but never complained. She was a generous, loving and kind-hearted person, with an infectious laugh that will be missed by all. She took great pride in her grandchildren and loved to spoil them, especially Kyle. Betty was happiest with her friends and family around her. Bettys memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. James Legion No. 4, 1755 Portage Ave. Our family would like to thank the staff at the HSC - MICU for their outstanding care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bettys memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Suite 200, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
