Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTORIA PAULENCU 1904 - 2003 Victoria died peacefully on August 30, 2003, at the age of 99 years, at the Brock Fahrni Nursing Home in Vancouver, BC, after suffering a stroke two years ago. The funeral was held in White Rock, BC on September 5 and interment was at the Victory Memorial Park Cemetery in Surrey, BC. She is survived by her children, John (Mary) Paulencu, Wawa, ON, Antonia (Toni) Nelson, Winnipeg, MB, Domnica Hoelscher, Montreal, QC, George (Linda) Stone-Paulencu, Duncan, BC; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law Preston Lennox and his wife Joyce; step-sons, Mike (Tina) Mack, Sandy Mack; and step-daughter Vera Witt and their families. Many nieces and nephews in Canada, USA and Europe. Mother was predeceased by our Dad, Nicolai Paulencu; daughter Pearl Lennox; and infant daughter Alexandra; and special friend and companion, William (Bill) Mack. Victoria came to Canada from Voloca, Rumania at the age four and settled in Lennard, MB, with her parents, Nicolai and Grapina Mintenko, five sisters and one brother. Victoria was the youngest and last surviving member of the Mintenko family. Victoria moved from Lennard/Shell Valley area to Sandy Lake, MB in 1941. A year later she moved to Winnipeg. In 1944 Victoria moved to Vancouver and lived there until her recent death. Condolences to the family can be forwarded to 2 Evenwood Cres., Winnipeg, MB, R3R 1W1. In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice may be made or plant a tree in Victorias memory.
