ANNIE SHELDON Peacefully in her sleep, Annie Sheldon, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on September 26, 2003 at the Park Manor Personal Care Home, at the age of 96. Annie is survived by her sons, Edward (Eileen), John, Robert (Gloria) her grandchildren, Betty Ann, Glen, Robbie, Randy, Jo-Ann; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Annie was predeceased by her husband Joseph; her sisters, Nellie and Helen; her brothers, Steve and John and her daughter-in-law Margaret. Annie was born in Thalberg, MB on November 30, 1906. After leaving the farm with her family, they resided in Winnipeg. Annie took a job with Brycees Bakery where she worked for many years. Annies life revolved around her family. She was a master in the kitchen, no gathering too large. She loved having her family and children over every Sunday for a wonderful Ukrainian dinner. Her garden and flowers were her pride and joy where she could be found working with them early in the morning. Annie enjoyed watching her wrestling and "The Price is Right". She was a compassionate, caring person who was always there for you no matter what. She worked tirelessly throughout her life for her family. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30 at 1:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Rev. Carol Fletcher officiating. Interment in the family plot, Transcona Cemetery. The family wishes to express their special thanks and gratitude to the staff and volunteers at the Park Manor Personal Care Home, who made Annies short stay enjoyable.
