OLIVE ELLEN TRASK 1909 - 2003 When you need me, just whisper my name in your heart...I will be there Olive Trask (nee Cruickshanks), dearly loved mother of three sons, Roy and Beverley of Lac du Bonnet, and Wayne of Winnipeg; and four daughters, Ruby and Kathleen of Lac du Bonnet, Shirley of Spruce Grove, AB and Mary of Cochrane, AB; loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, passed away peacefully at the Pinawa Hospital on Thursday, September 25, 2003 at the age of 94 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Alex, in 1990, two sons Keith in 1953 and Glen in 1997. Olive was born near Owen Sound, Ontario on June 4, 1909 and grew up to become a teacher, wife and mother of nine children before moving to the Lac du Bonnet area in 1954. Olive was a wonderful gardener, loved her plants and flowers. Probably one of the last one room schoolhouse teachers, she taught in and around the Lac du Bonnet area for close to 20 years. She was a long-time member of the Abundant Life Church and was actively involved as long as she was able. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. God gave us a mother, and he tried to be fair, And when He gave us ours, we got more than our share. Although He took you back from us today, We are so grateful for the years He let you stay. Your presence well miss your memory we treasure; Loving you always, forgetting you never.
