JEAN ELLEN FOSTER It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jean Ellen Foster on September 25, 2003 at the age of 78 years. She was a wonderful sister, aunt and friend to many. She is survived by her sister Mary and brother-in-law George Heindle, several nieces and nephews, many close friends and relatives. Pre-deceased by her parents, Bill & Polly Foster; her brothers, Harvey, Ray, Russell (Gwen), Maurice (Ike) and sisters, Ethel Yankowski (Gene) and Lillian Handford (Bud). Jean was born and raised in the Mowbray Valley. She worked for many years in the store at Mowbray and then moved to Manitou to work in the grocery stores there. She moved to La Riviere and enjoyed retirement there although she kept very busy with baby-sitting, yard work, gardening, crafts, jig-saw puzzles, card games, baking and writing letters - things that many of us will remember and miss greatly. She was always ready to give a helping hand to all and made many visits and gifts of baking to shut-ins. There will be a graveside on Tuesday, September 30 in Jackson Cemetery, Mowbray, MB at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jeans memory to a charity of their choice.
