RACHEL IRMA DENEWETH (nee RINGAERT) Peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2003 at the St. Norbert Nursing Home, Rachel Deneweth was called to Eternal Rest. Born September 29, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan to Richard and Hermenie Ringaert (nee Van Damme) who arrived from Belgium to St. Boniface in 1905 and 1906. Baptized in the Belgian Parish of Our Lady of Sorrows in Detroit by the Rev. Fr. Henry Syoen. Rachel married Albert Deneweth in the Belgian Parish of the Sacred Heart: St. Boniface on July 29, 1939 by the Rev. Fr. Damasus OFM. Cap. Rachel was predeceased by her husband Albert in May 1984; her parents, Richard and Hermenie Ringaert (nee Van Damme) in 1970 and 1991 and by her mother and father-in-law, Ernest and Martha Deneweth (nee Lammens) in 1953 and 1944. Left to mourn her passing are her children, son Richard, daughter Rozann Pryce and grandson Neil Pryce. She also leaves behind her brother Joseph (Sandra) Ringaert; nephew Dr. Ken Ringaert and great-nephew Joey Ringaert. Mrs. Deneweth was a member of Le Club Belge since May 6, 1953. The family would like to thank Germaine DeMeyer (nee Deneweth) for always being there for them and a special thanks to the St. Norbert Nursing Home for their care and compassion. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2 at 10:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street with interment to follow in the Belgium Sacred Heart Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Deneweths memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
