DOROTHY ELIZABETH DENNIS (nee ARMIT) Dorothy peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2003 at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 86, with her daughter at her bedside. She was predeceased by her parents, Frances (Thornton) and David Edward Armit; and, Rodney her beloved husband of 56 years. Dorothy attended Laura Secord, Gordon Bell, and Success College. Rodney and Dorothy were married at Broadway First Baptist on June 25, 1941. They belonged successively to First Baptist (Brandon), St. Vital and Portage Avenue / Waverley Fellowship Baptist Churches. Dorothy worked for Blue Cross, Hignal Printing, Winnipeg School Division (Hugh John MacDonald) and the University of Manitoba. She is survived by her children, David (Carole), Larry (Christine), Carol, Ray (Linda) and grandchildren, Laurie, Scott, Jennifer, Erin, Rodney, Wendy; her great-granddaughter Reilly; her cousins, Allison Zillmann, Ken Dickson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Our dear mother and friend will be happily and fondly remembered. We are so grateful for her wonderful life and gentle passing. God bless her.
