LUCIEN (LOU) GRATTON Peacefully, after a long and courageous battle, surrounded by his family, Lou Gratton, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2003 in St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 75 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruby, son, Robert and granddaughter Chantel. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Linda (Chris), Glen (Paulette), Shirley (Leo), Doug (Sue), Daryl (Jane), Darrin (Char) grandchildren, Melanie, Jason, Danielle, Shawn, Vanessa, Kevin, Troy, Kyle, Chris, Trevor, Janelle, Stephen and Rebecca, and great-grandchild Madelaine; sisters, Leah and Mary and brother John. Dad was a very successful entrepreneur in the trucking industry, real estate and his last venture, Paradise Village. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, whether it was beating them in crib, following their car racing at Victory Lanes, cooking family dinners, or spending his winters in Los Cabos, Mexico. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 1 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd. with Rev. Fr. Fred Olds presiding. A private Urn Placement to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6, The Manitoba Kidney Foundation, 200-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 1L8 or E.D.A.M.
