GLADYS NAOMI LIPSETT (nee WINDETT) On Monday, September 29, 2003, Gladys died at Tuxedo Villa, in the company of her family. She was born in London, England on October 7, 1919. Gladys served in the Royal Air Force as a wireless operator and came to Canada as a young war bride in 1944. Mom enjoyed the many friendships she made in Lindenholm Place, through Grant Memorial Church, in the Sunday School, the Golden Echoes Choir and the IODE. She travelled to Europe, North Africa, the Holy Land, England and Hawaii during her 84 years. Mom had a wonderful sense of fun and adventure and she set an example of hard work tempered with love and humour for her family. She was our rock, holding our family together through many difficult times. We will treasure her wonderful recipes, the beautiful handmade sweaters, and the family stories told in her own special way. The family thanks the many people who helped Mom remain a courageous and independent woman. She will be welcomed into eternity by her husband, Gordon Maxwell Lipsett; her parents; five brothers; and many dear friends and relatives. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Suzanne (Bill Adkins), Carole (David Dennis), Barry (Brenda) and Keith (Catherine) her grandchildren, Laurie Goerig, Lesleigh Morriseau, Sean Lipsett, Jennifer Lisle, Colin Lipsett, James Ford, Erin Dennis; and her great-grandchildren Dylan Morriseau, Taylor Morriseau and Riley Goerig. A celebration of Gladys life will be held on Wednesday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Donald & Graham. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
