RALPH HENDERSON STEWART Born May 5, 1908, passed away quietly on September 23, 2003 in Nanaimo following a brief illness. Ralph was born in Winnipeg where he remained until moving to BC in 2001. He worked for many enjoyable years as an accountant for Toothill Greeting Cards and later for GSW Home Service. Ralph spent many hours golfing in summer and curling in the winter. He was an avid bridge player and belonged to several bridge groups. Ralph was a long-time member of Westminster United Church where he served as Treasurer for 22 years. His association with the church was extremely important to him and he cherished the many long-lasting friendships which he developed over the years at Westminster. Ralph will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Lila of 62 years; his son, Neil (Margaret) of Los Angeles and his daughter, Claire (Rick) of Nanaimo, BC. Ralph is also survived by four grandchildren, Michelle, Megan, Brent and Shannon. A Memorial Service will be held at Westminster United Church on Friday, October 3 at 11:00 a.m.
