Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMA CHIBORAK (nee FLETT) Peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, September 29, 2003 at Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home, Norma Chiborak passed away at the age of 85 years. Norma was predeceased by her husband Peter, whom she shared 54 years of marriage; her son Cyril; grandson Perry; three brothers, Ernest, Harry and Stanley and two sisters, Stella and Nellie. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Marshall (Carol), Gail (Marv), Shirley (Gerry), Linda (Gord), Larry (Debbie), Herb (Lori), Marilyn (Chris), Curtis (Debbie) her 24 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Norma is also survived by brothers, Herbert and Fred; sisters, Silvia, Doreen and Katie. Mom loved life, she was always ready for a card game and when the chips were down she never gave up. She enjoyed her nights out playing bingo and in her younger days, kicking up her heels on the square dance floor with her beloved Peter. Mom found great joy in the simple things, a sing song surrounded by her family and friends at West Hawk Lake, the visits from her many grandchildren and all the wonderful family gatherings. Material possessions were unimportant to Mom, her joy was life itself. I have found joy in simple things A childs delight, A fresh baked loaf of bread A cup of tea, A kettle as it sings The shelter of a roof above my head. I have found such joy in things that fill My quiet days, a families grace A rose, fresh cut placed within a vase A table and lamp beside a chair And pictures of loved ones beside me there Oh I have found such joys And I wish I might Tell all those who go seeking far That very close to home the great joys are Moms devotion to her family has left an unbreakable bond within us all and we in her memory will forever remain unbroken. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends to follow in the Glen Eden reception center. Private family interment at a later date at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Thanks to the many doctors, nurses and personal care workers at Heritage Lodge for all your care and attention. Many of you have touched our lives forever. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home in Normas memory will be accepted by Glen Eden Funeral Home.
