Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEATRICE PICHE (nee ARNAL) Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on Monday, September 29, 2003, Mrs. Beatrice Piche of Fannystelle, MB, passed away at the age of 83 years. Beatrice was born in Fannystelle, MB on April 27, 1920 to Almir and Bertha (nee Besse) Arnal. She leaves to mourn her passing two children, Ralph and wife Sylvie Piche of Fannystelle, Lorraine and husband Raymond Bernardin of St. Eustache; six grandchildren, Jeanine, Marc (fiancee Sara Clark), Jim (Kestrel), Lise Piche; Philippe and Jocelyne Bernardin. She also leaves to cherish her memory seven sisters, Gertrude Obee, Helene Piche, Lilianne Beaudry, Florence Tilt (William), Irene Kuhl, Rita Albert (Camil) and Lorraine Tinckam; six brothers, Leo (Stella), Louis (Melanie), Vincent (Gertrude), Rene (Pat), Jules (Gladys) and Richard (Claire) five sisters-in-law, Gisele Piche, Marcelle Caron, Rolande Piche, Denise Piche and Carol Arnal; two brothers-in-law Paul Piche (Lorraine) and Paul Black, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Bruno Piche in 2001; two sisters, Denise Marinoff and Clara Black; and by one brother Alfred. Beatrice was a person devoted to her family, her community and her parish. She cherished the time with her grandchildren and memere was a friend to all of them. As a former piano teacher she especially enjoyed the time she and Jocelyne spent at the piano. Moms passion was her garden and her flower beds. She spent many happy hours tending to her own plants as well as some community areas, always willing to share her love and knowledge of gardening with grandchildren and neighbours. In spite of physical hardships, Beatrice maintained her independence and self-reliance. Poor eyesight and home dialysis were part of her life, they were challenges that she accepted and dealt with all the while living in her own home. She will be missed as an active member of family, church and community by many. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Fannystelle Roman Catholic Church on Thursday October 2 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Armand LeGal officiating. Cremation to follow with interment in the Parish Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 200-255 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8. A special thank-you to Dr. Junaid and Dr. Henry at the St. Boniface as well as the caring staff of 5E. Special recognition to Eva and the staff of the dialysis unit at the St. Boniface Hospital.
