ANNA CHRISTINE WEST On September 30, 2003, Anna West, beloved mom, grandma and "grandma the great", went home to heaven. Mom was born May 17, 1909, in Sweden, and came to Winnipeg as a young girl. She married my dad in 1936 and together they enjoyed family, friends and travelling. She was a very active member of Calvary Temple for 50 years. Left to miss her wonderful smile and to cherish her memory are Carolyn, Hart, Jackie, Jim, Donna; her most loved great-grandchildren, Graeme and Madison; brother-in-law Oscar of British Columbia; and sister-in-law Maria in Sweden; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her devoted husband Carl in 1993; and by her sisters, Martha, Nanna, Linea and Hilda. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 3 at 11:30 a.m., in Calvary Temple, Buntain Chapel, 400 Hargrave St., with Pastor H.H. Barber officiating. Interment to follow at Garry Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, October 2 between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway (at Furby). In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make donations to Calvary Place Personal Care Home, 1325 Erin St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 3R6. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. C. Ogaranko, Michelle Roziere, Mollette and Joy whos help enabled Mom to be independent for so long. Also sincere thanks to our many friends for their prayers, love and support.
